Loss Prevention Agent
Reporting directly to the Zone Loss Prevention Manager with dotted-line responsibility to the Store Manager, the Loss Prevention Agent is responsible for reducing inventory losses due to internal theft, shoplifting and paperwork errors.

External Theft Prevention
The identification, prevention and apprehension as required of shoplifters in accordance with Michaels Loss Prevention Agent Training.
Loss Prevention Awareness
Conduct training sessions for all store associates on the ways to identify and prevent losses due to shoplifting, employee theft and paperwork errors.
Physical Security Standards
Conduct monthly facility inspections ensure all burglar/fire alarm systems, exterior and interior entry/exits, fire extinguishers and C.C.T.V. are functioning safely and properly.
The identification of employee theft and investigation as directed by the Zone Loss Prevention Manager.
Document and communicate to the appropriate parties any incident, injury or illness related to the store.
Assist in all emergencies as required
Ensures the highest level of customer service for all associates at all times.
Maintain the department’s code of conduct and confidentiality.
Conduct any other duties as requested by the Zone Loss Prevention Manager.
Retail Loss Prevention experience is a must.
Must understand the importance of shrinkage and margin control.
Communication skills are needed to effectively interact with customers, store associates and management.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school education or equivalent in order to read and write, and perform basic math functions.
